Lila Tirando a Violeta and Sin Maldita drop their first collaborative album on Hyperdub.
Lila Tirando a Violeta is a prolific and collaborative producer from Uruguay who's 2022 album 'Desire Path' on N.A.A.F.I was on lots of end of year lists.
Sin Maldita is a Berlin based artist who makes avant-garde pop that similarly strikes a chord between abrasiveness and accessibility. His debut album,'You’re Trouble,' came out in November 2020 on 'Unguarded' which he founded with long-term collaborator Philipp Hülsenbeck.

Accela is informed and inspired by seemingly unconnected work; the concepts and sound design of the late 90's cyberpunk anime Lain, from which it takes its title and also uses as a sample source and James Joyce's experimental novel 'Finnegan's Wake'. Here they draw away from pop and delve into the language of dreams and digital realities, through surreal and mind-bending scenarios, rendering a splintered yet rhythmically elastic, intense body of work laced with melody. Taking the concept of collaboration to extremes the release delves into the idea of 'Idioglossia', inspired by Finnegan's Wake where a private language is developed and spoken by a small group of people, in this case, Lila and Sin who chatter away throughout the release. You're unlikely to find another release this year of this detail and roller coaster intensity.
